The Mini Beluga from Petrified Fish is a smaller version of the most popular imported production knife in recent history. The Mini Beluga is a more compact top flipper knife with a 1.06" wide blade. The exquisite craftsmanship, fit, and finish simply cannot be rivaled at this price point. The fascinating Gmascus scales resemble a topographic pattern and really make this knife stand out from the rest.
nice looking knife but the detent on mine is to strong so it's a two handed open knife !
I promised my wife I was done buying knives, but then this Mini Beluga popped up at Blue Creek. It's a nice compact folder with multiple deployment options, good blade, smooth action, and I really like the look of the green gmascus. No complaints at all. I'm also really happy with the service from Blue Creek Knives. On the day I ordered this knife from Blue Creek, I also ordered a black Mini Beluga from Amazon; I received my order from Blue Creek Knives first, and paid less too. I've returned the Amazon order, and now I check Blue Creek first when I'm not shopping for knives (I promise, hun).
Other knife companies should be embarrassed. This is a $50 knife that ticks _all_the boxes except having a powder metallurgy blade steel. It's visually striking with nice lines and an interesting scale pattern & color. Oh, and they made all the blade printing really small and tucked against the scale so the beauty of the blade shape isn't compromised. Hear that Kizer?
Also, it's a front flipper that I can fire 100% of the time with a little wrist flip, and I'm not really good with front flippers.
The deep carry clip is inset into the scale AND has flat hardware! Pocket insert is NOT a problem.
It fits my smaller hands well, but may be cramped for large/Xl.
This could be a one-and-done EDC knife for anyone who isn't knife crazy. Works well, looks good, strops back sharp for easy maintenance.
